#TYAFridays!

Starting this September, TYACreative are proud to present our newest venture; an acting tuition and theatre group!

For the first half of the autumn term we are offering training in classical method acting and the various associated skills, including theory, voice and movement. The second part of the term will be devoted to making our own production of Frankenstein. This play will be built from the ground up, using the inspiration and experience of everyone involved.

Taught and directed by Ed Passmore, our very own trained actor, TYAFridays will be a springboard for those who wish to learn about acting and theatre, a workshop for those looking to hone their existing skills and interest, and just as importantly, an exciting creative hub for all involved!

If you are aged anywhere from 14 to 40 and have an interest in acting, directing, writing, stage management, or even sound, lighting and scenery design then send us a message to book your place now!

TYA Saturday Club

At The Young Actors Saturday club, young children are given the opportunity to create a story-driven piece of drama. We encourage the Saturday Club members to drive the narrative forward in a direction of their choosing. The end result is either a final performance piece or a philosophical exploration of the subject matter.

Exploring social issues, encouraging creative and critical thinking, self expression, confidence building, team building, creative writing, leadership and friendship are all skills we incorporate into our Saturday Club sessions.

Performing has a positive impact on self-esteem and confidence, at TYA we ensure that young people are supported in a way that enables and encourages them in achieving their personal best, whilst having fun along the way.

Our sessions at the Saturday Club have covered topics such as; Myths and Legends, The Kite Runner-(family conflict), Bullying, Beauty and the Beast, Community, Growing up, The Amazing Maze, Climate Change and Shackleton’s Adventure.

Why not come along for a free taster session? You can meet the team, make some new friends and have fun!

If you have any questions please contact us and we’ll be in touch pronto.
